Offline games support 2 to 8 players (any mix of human and AI).
Online games require at least 2 ready human players, and only the
host can launch.
Turn order follows lobby order and loops to the next non-bankrupt
player each turn.
You start with the lobby starting-money value. If that value is
invalid, the selected board theme default is used.
The selected board theme controls currency display, location
names, GO salary amount, and default starting money.
Goal: make all other players bankrupt. The last non-bankrupt
player wins.
2. Turn Phases and Dice Rules
Every turn runs in phases: Roll → Action/Land Result → End.
You must roll before you can end your turn.
If you roll doubles (and are not in jail), you get another roll
after land effects resolve.
If you roll 3 doubles in one turn, you are sent directly to Jail
immediately.
Movement wraps around 40 spaces. Passing GO pays the theme GO
salary. Landing exactly on GO also pays salary.
3. Space Rules
GO: landing on GO pays salary.
Jail/Visit: safe when just visiting.
Free Parking: visiting only, no jackpot and no reward pool payout.
Go to Jail: sends you to Jail space (position 10), ends movement,
and resets doubles streak.
Tax spaces: pay the printed amount to the bank.
Chance/Community Chest: draw top card from a shuffled deck and
apply its action.
4. Buying, Auction, and Rent
Landing on an unowned property/railroad/utility lets you buy it at
face price.
If you cannot afford a landed property, buy is disabled and you
can auction it or skip.
Auction includes all non-bankrupt players. You can toggle auctions
on/off in lobby settings. Bid controls are +100, +200, +500,
+1000, or Pass.
When enabled, auctions start from an opening value (about 60%-80%
of base property price), not from 0.
You cannot place a bid above your current cash. Auction ends when
only one non-passed bidder remains with a valid high bid, or
everyone passes.
If all pass, the property remains unsold (owner stays none).
Rent on normal properties: base rent, or double base if color
monopoly and no buildings, or house/hotel rent tiers from the
deed.
Railroad rent depends on owner total railroads. Inflated boards
use 250 / 500 / 1000 / 2000; Classic uses 25 / 50 / 100 / 200.
Utility rent is dice-based. Most boards use inflated economy (40x
one utility, 100x both); Classic board uses original multipliers
(4x and 10x).
Mortgaged assets collect no rent.
5. Building and Mortgage Rules
You can build only after owning all properties in a color group.
Build cost per click is that property house cost.
At 4 houses, the next build converts that property to a hotel.
Selling buildings returns 50% of one house cost per sell action.
Selling a hotel converts it back to 4 houses first in this build.
Even-building distribution across a color set is not enforced by
this build.
You can mortgage owned assets (property, railroad, utility) for
50% of purchase price, if that asset has no buildings.
You cannot mortgage a color property while any property in that
same color group still has buildings.
Unmortgage cost is 110% of mortgage value (10% interest).
6. Jail Rules
You can be jailed by Go to Jail square, jail-type cards, or
rolling 3 doubles in one turn.
When your jailed turn starts, choose to roll for doubles or leave
immediately by paying bail/using a card.
Bail follows board economy: 500 on inflated boards, 50 on Classic,
unless you use a Get Out of Jail Free card.
If you roll doubles in jail, you are released and move by that
roll.
If you fail doubles, jail turn count increases. On the 3rd failed
roll, you must pay bail, then move by that roll.
7. Chance and Community Actions (Implemented Set)
Chance deck actions include movement cards (GO, nearest railway,
key destinations), jail cards, fines, rewards, and repair bills.
Card values follow board economy: Classic uses original values,
other boards use inflated equivalents.
Community Chest includes money gains/losses, GO/Jail moves,
jail-free card, and birthday collection from each non-bankrupt
opponent, with values scaled by board economy.
Get Out of Jail Free cards increase your stored jail-free card
count.
Decks are shuffled at game start and drawn in order; when index
exceeds length, drawing wraps back through the same shuffled deck
order.
8. Debt, Bankruptcy, and Asset Transfer
If a human player cannot pay a charge, a debt prompt appears. You
must raise money (sell buildings/mortgage) or declare bankruptcy.
You cannot end your turn while unresolved debt prompt is active.
If debt is paid after raising funds, the exact owed amount is
transferred to the creditor (or bank) and play continues.
Bankruptcy to another player transfers remaining cash and all
owned assets to that creditor.
If transferred assets are mortgaged, the creditor pays 10%
mortgage-interest to the bank for those assets.
Bankruptcy to bank clears ownership, removes all
buildings/hotel/mortgage status, and queues each asset for bank
auction.
Bank auctions run in sequence until queue is empty.
9. Trading and Timer Rules
Trades can include properties and cash from both sides.
A property cannot be traded if it has buildings, or if any
property in its same color group has buildings.
Recipient can accept or decline. Proposer can cancel while
pending.
Trade is validated again on response (ownership and available cash
must still be valid).
Auto-advance timer (Off / 10 / 20 / 30 / 45 / 60 seconds) runs
only during end phase after movement resolves.
Timer pauses while any modal overlay is open. At zero, turn
auto-ends.
Online mode rules: only host can launch match or change lobby
timer/settings, and all connected players must be ready before
start.
If someone leaves an online match, leave handling can convert them
to AI control or liquidate and auction their assets (host-managed
room state).
